For the first time in our travels, our transportation not only kept to schedule, but made it to our destination 30 minutes early! Unfortunately, it was the one time we didn't want to be early- arriving at the Southern Bus Terminal in Bangkok at 5am is not a lot of fun. We were bombarded with taxi drivers as we were getting off the bus and the terminal was pretty crowded, but we ere lucky enough to have a taxi official (we had made a beeline for the metered taxis) help us out and then had a super sweet, young driver who dropped us off at the 24 hour McDonald's near Khao San road.
So here we are! In Bangkok! Making the most of McMorning and getting our bearings. And we aren't the only ones!
We can't check in until 1pm, so Anne is sorting out directions for the Grand Palace and some temples so we can go do some sightseeing this morning. Fingers crossed we find our way there and back without circumnavigating the entire city^^
