How ridiculous of me to think that the wet season really would only last a coupl of weeks. I stupidly relied on information given to me by the same coteachers who told me Seomyeon was 'very far', implying maybe I should take a supply of water and squid bits, and best to visit on the weekends only as it takes so long to get there! :P
Last week the rain was so intense that the school sent kids home (I wasn told until lunch time of course) and one student at a friends school was apparently swept away by the current, saved only by a parked car!
Everyone badmouths Melbourne's weather, but seriously, come to Korea during their 'Summer'.
I seriously need to either- get some gumboots or buy some bathers and a swimming cap just for my 5 minute journey to school.
